SEKONIC SR-55 D Stopwatch – Precision Meets Durability

The SEKONIC SR-55 D is a cost-effective OMR scanner that offers good speed and accuracy for smaller to medium-sized scanning needs. It’s ideal for institutions looking for reliable scanning without breaking the budget.

The SEKONIC SR-55 D is a premium mechanical stopwatch designed for professionals who demand precision, reliability, and timeless performance. Known for its rugged construction and accurate timekeeping, the SR-55 D is widely used in laboratories, educational institutions, sports training, and industrial applications.

This is how we work

The SEKONIC SR-55 D is actually a mechanical stopwatch, not a digital scanner. It operates through a precise wind-up mechanism that does not require any batteries or electronic components. To use it, the user simply winds the crown (a small knob on top) to build up mechanical tension. Once wound, pressing the button starts the timing function, and subsequent presses stop and reset the timer. The stopwatch uses finely tuned gears and springs to measure time accurately—typically down to 1/5 or 1/10 of a second. It features a large, easy-to-read analog dial, making it ideal for sports, industrial timing, laboratory work, and other activities that require reliable manual time measurement. Since it’s a mechanical device, it is durable and performs consistently without reliance on external power sources.
